Public Health Physician

As the Zone Medical Officer of Health, you will serve as a clinical expert and consultant, working closely with healthcare providers to improve health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead public health policy development and implementation

• Control environmental threats to population health

• Respond to public health emergencies effectively

• Engage and collaborate with health system stakeholders

• Educate and mentor healthcare professionals

Requirements:

• MD with training in Public Health or equivalent

• Eligible for CPSA licensure in Alberta

• Experience as a Medical Officer of Health is beneficial

• Skilled in project management and change management

• Familiarity with Alberta’s health environment preferred
