In the role of Primary Care Paramedic, you will assess patients in critical situations and provide necessary treatments, ensuring safe transportation to medical facilities. With the requirement to operate under diverse weather conditions and demanding physical tasks, reliability and diligence are crucial. You'll contribute to a team-oriented environment while maintaining ambulances and related equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and monitor patients at emergency scenes
• Operate and drive ambulances effectively
• Administer BLS care and medications as required
• Lead teams in delivering surgical care during transport
• Stock and maintain ambulances to health standards
Requirements:
• Registration and credentials with Alberta College of Paramedics
• Current BCLS CPR certification necessary
• Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence or equivalent experience
• Completion of FARE test within six months of application
• Physical fitness to meet paramedic service demands
