This part-time role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide essential aid to residents in areas such as hygiene, nutrition, and mobility. You will engage with families and caregivers while contributing to a safe and effective care environment under the supervision of licensed professionals. Your observations on patients' health will be crucial for ongoing care improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver personal assistance and support for daily living
• Aid nurses in providing comprehensive patient care
• Report on patients’ health, safety, and emotional needs
• Participate in safety protocols for staff and visitors
• Facilitate social activities for patient engagement
Requirements:
• Active registration or eligibility with CLHA as HCA
• Completion of Health Care Aide Certificate after hiring
• Strong communication skills and teamwork focus
• Availability for varied shift patterns, including weekends
• Compliance with health and safety training
