Sure Hire is looking for an Occupational Health Technician III to join our Edmonton West team. In this role, you’ll conduct occupational health screenings, physical abilities testing, drug and alcohol testing, respirator fit testing, and pre-employment medical assessments for workers across a wide range of industries.

What You’ll DoAs an Occupational Health Technician III, you’ll provide professional occupational health testing services while delivering an exceptional client experience.

Your responsibilities include:

Occupational Health Testing Conduct audiometric (hearing) testing

Perform vision screening

Complete respirator fit testing

Conduct pre-employment medical assessments including blood pressure, height, weight, pulse, and related health measurements

Supervise Critical Strength & Mobility evaluations

Assess lifting techniques, movement quality, conditioning, and biomechanics

Monitor participant heart rate and oxygen saturation throughout physical testing

Ensure participant safety during all assessments

Drug & Alcohol Testing Collect urine, oral fluid, breath alcohol, and hair specimens

Follow strict chain-of-custody procedures

Perform specimen validity testing

Complete point-of-care testing

Accurately document and interpret testing results

Client Experience Welcome clients professionally

Verify identity and documentation

Explain testing procedures clearly

Create and maintain confidential client records

Ensure every client receives exceptional customer service

Resolve concerns professionally and respectfully

Administration

Maintain accurate electronic records

Assist with inventory management

Prepare testing equipment

Support clinic operations

Travel to client worksites when requiredA Typical Day Every day is different.

You might spend your morning conducting hearing tests and respirator fit testing before supervising physical abilities evaluations for workers entering safety-sensitive positions. Later in the day, you may perform drug and alcohol testing, complete medical assessments, travel to a client worksite, or assist with clinic operations.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications Degree in Kinesiology, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Human Kinetics, Exercise Science, or a related disciplineORCertification in Personal Fitness Training or an equivalent field

Standard First Aid and CPR-C/AED (or equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications Experience in one or more of the following is considered an asset:
