Health Care Aide at AgeCare

Provide compassionate care to residents at Age Care South Terrace in Edmonton, AB, as a Health Care Aide. Support residents' well-being through essential daily activities and ensure a comfortable environment.

As a casual Health Care Aide, you will support individual care needs alongside a dedicated care team under the guidance of a Staff Nurse. Key responsibilities include personal care, meal assistance, and helping residents engage in social and therapeutic activities.

Your role directly contributes to enhancing the quality of life for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with bathing and personal hygiene of residents

• Use lifts and equipment for safe resident transfers

• Provide meal assistance and monitor dietary needs

• Carry out routine treatments as per care plans

• Facilitate residents' movement to activities and dining

Requirements:

• One year experience in continuing care preferred

• Completion of recognized Personal Care Aide course

• Active registration with Alberta healthcare authorities

• Fluent English communication skills

• Post-secondary education is an asset
