Independent Psychologist

Position: Independent Psychologist Role at Northern Pain Centre
Location: Wabasca-Desmarais

Become an Independent Psychologist at Northern Pain Centre in St Leonards, Brookvale, or Bella Vista, where evidence-based treatment is the focus. This is a unique consulting opportunity.

In this role, the Independent Psychologist will manage their own clinical load while working alongside a multidisciplinary team. The environment fosters collaboration with pain management specialists including physiotherapists and psychiatrists, offering rich opportunities for shared care and mentoring. Candidates should possess current APHRA registration, with demonstrated skills in therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and a focus on chronic pain management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently manage clinical load and appointments

• Implement evidence-based psychological interventions

• Work closely with multidisciplinary health professionals

• Engage in ongoing peer support and mentoring

• Treat patients with various chronic pain-related mental health issues

Requirements:

• Current APHRA registration or nearing certification

• Knowledge of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and other therapeutic methods

• Experience in clinical psychology for chronic pain

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Commitment to high-quality patient care
