Role DescriptionThis is a part-time, on-site Medical Office Assistant role supporting the day-to-day operations of our Medical Clinic. The MOA will work closely with Nurse Practitioners, patients, and the administrative team to provide an exceptional patient experience while ensuring the clinic operates efficiently and professionally.
Daily responsibilities will include patient reception and communication, appointment scheduling, registration, EMR management, processing referrals and documentation, coordinating patient follow-up, and supporting the clinical team with administrative tasks.
The successful candidate will work primarily within TELUS CHR, Netcare, and other healthcare systems and platforms as required. This role requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, accuracy, and attention to detail, particularly when handling confidential patient and health information.

Key Responsibilities Patient Reception & Experience- Greet and assist patients in a professional, welcoming, and compassionate manner
- Manage patient check‑in and check‑out processes
- Answer phones, emails, and patient inquiries promptly and professionally
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments
- Maintain a high standard of patient communication and service
- Address routine patient concerns and elevate appropriately when required
