Become a valued member of Alberta Health Services as a Float Respiratory Therapist I at Stollery Children's Hospital. Deliver essential respiratory care in a dynamic atmosphere across multiple hospital sites.
This role offers a unique opportunity to operate among key pediatric units at the Sturgeon Community Hospital, Royal Alexandra Hospital, and University of Alberta Hospital. Your responsibilities will include assessing patients, implementing care plans, and collaborating to improve clinical outcomes for neonatal and pediatric patients. Experience various specialties, including high-risk deliveries and transport teams, while contributing to evidence-based practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive assessments for patients in various units
• Develop and implement respiratory care plans
• Monitor patient progress and outcomes effectively
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for enhanced care
• Educate patients and families on respiratory health
Requirements:
• Active registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta
• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required
• 2-3 years of recent critical care experience preferred
• Involvement in committee work and quality improvement
