Health Care Aide

Pursue a fulfilling part-time career as a Health Care Aide with Age Care South Terrace, dedicated to providing thorough resident care. Work alongside a talented team ensuring personal comfort and well-being.

In this role, you will assist residents with their daily needs, from personal hygiene to mobility, under the supervision of a Staff Nurse. The position involves implementing care plans and providing essential treatments, ensuring each resident receives individualized attention and respect. Play an important role in fostering a warm and welcoming community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide bathing and hygiene care for residents

• Assist with transfers using safe methods

• Support meal-related activities for residents

• Implement routine care and treatments as directed

• Help residents attend recreational and therapy functions

Requirements:

• At least one year in a care environment preferred

• Recognition from CLHA is essential

• Completion of a Personal Care Aide Certificate

• Fluent English ability both orally and in writing

• Post-secondary education is beneficial
