The team at Belmont Town Centre Patient Service Centre (PSC), is looking to add a highly engaged, enthusiastic, and outgoing Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team in this fast-paced, public-facing location. Here you will have the opportunity to work both independently and as a member of our team where you will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions, including phlebotomy, ECG’s and monitoring wait times to ensure you are providing the best service to your this role you will be the first contact that patients have with the laboratory.

This position works rotating shifts Monday to Friday between the hours of and every third Saturday and Sunday between the hours of at Belmont PSC.Make a difference in your community as you help healthcare professionals and patients get the information they need to improve, optimize, and maintain good health.
Description:
As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
Additional
Required Qualifications:
Previous Phlebotomy experience and ECG certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 2 years of recent phlebotomy experience.
ECG experience.
