Position: Speech Language Support at Greater St. Albert
Location: Morinville

Become a Speech Language Assistant eri Tekakwitha Academy and engage in meaningful educational work. This temporary full-time position involves supporting students’ speech-language development within a nurturing environment.

As someone passionate about Christ-centered education, you will play a vital role in assisting a Speech-Language Pathologist. Your primary focus will include implementing speech-language interventions tailored to children of various educational stages, from Early Learning to Junior High, while promoting diversity and inclusivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide essential support for speech and language programming

• Collaborate within a trans-disciplinary team framework

• Implement directed plans and track progress effectively

• Engage children in meaningful activities focused on speech goals

• Manage confrontations and behaviors positively during interactions

Requirements:

• Completion of the Speech-Language Assistant qualification

• Experience working with youth experiencing speech-language challenges

• Strong interpersonal skills to thrive in team environments

• Capability to work autonomously in program implementation

• Ability to engage physically and play at children’s levels
