Position: Occupational Therapist with STAR Catholic Schools

Enhance children's lives as a full-time Occupational Therapist at STAR Catholic Schools. This role involves providing specialized support for students’ fine motor, self-help, and sensory development in a collaborative environment.

As an Occupational Therapist, you'll be crucial in addressing and evaluating children's developmental needs within several schools in the region. Your responsibilities will include crafting and implementing Individual Program Plans (IPPs) and ensuring continued student progress through effective strategies. Collaboration with teachers and professionals is essential to tailor programs that foster inclusion and skill acquisition for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate developmental needs in fine motor and sensory areas

• Create and manage Individual Program Plans (IPPs)

• Engage with teachers and parents for strategy implementation

• Maintain progress documentation and assessments

• Facilitate educational workshops for staff

Requirements:

• BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy

• Experience in PUF and autism programs is a plus

• Strong cooperative skills with the inclusive services team

• Need to complete criminal and Alberta Children's Services checks

• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
