The Opportunity:

We're looking for a Health Care Aide to join our Lifestyle Options - Terra Losa team on a temporary full-time (1.0 FTE) day shift basis. This temporary assignment is scheduled to conclude on November 15, 2026. In this role, you will work with a team to provide inclusive, resident-centered care that promotes dignity and independence, under the direction of a Licensed Practical Nurse and Supervisor.

What

you'll do:
  • Provide high-quality care in alignment with each resident's individualized care plan.
  • Support daily living needs including personal hygiene, mobility, meals, and recreational activities.
  • Complete safe and appropriate medication assistance in accordance with current standards.
  • Perform authorized and delegated procedures to meet specific resident needs.
  • Communicate observations and concerns to nurses, AHS Case Managers, and other health professionals.
  • Accurately document service hours and all activities performed for residents.
Qualifications:
  • Active registration with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
  • Experience with elderly, disabled, and palliative care preferred.
  • Delivers person-centered care and involves residents and families in care planning.
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence and strong communication skills in English.
  • May be exposed to infectious diseases; follows safety protocols and hygiene standards.
