Support resident wellness as a Recreation Assistant with Optima Living. This role involves planning therapeutic programs that cater to the diverse needs of seniors.
Reporting directly to the Recreation Manager, you'll play a key role in enhancing the quality of life for residents. Your responsibilities will include designing person-centered recreation programs and collaborating with nursing staff to assess individual resident needs. You'll help coordinate engaging activities for various dimensions of wellness, ensuring a meaningful environment for seniors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement person-centered recreation programs
• Coordinate engaging activities for residents' well-being
• Monitor resident progress and provide recommendations
• Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation
• Assist in setup and takedown of events
Requirements:
• Minimum one year of recreation programming experience
• CPR and First Aid certifications required
• Experience in mental health or residential care environments preferred
• Strong communication skills and teamwork
• Flexibility in work shifts
