This in-office role, based in either Calgary or Edmonton, offers part-time hours of approximately per week. The schedule can be structured as three longer days or spread across five shorter days, depending on preference. You’ll take ownership of full-cycle payroll and benefits administration for approximately employees. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy, consistency, and a clear sense of contribution.

You’ll be relied on to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality at every step of the payroll process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Running full-cycle, bi-weekly payroll for staff members

Administering employee benefits and handling related inquiries

Reconciling payroll-related accounts and preparing reports as needed

Ensuring compliance with employment standards and internal policies

Managing vacation, sick time, statutory holiday tracking, and adjustments

Supporting year-end payroll functions (Ts, ROEs, etc.)

Liaising with the finance and HR teams as required

Qualifications:

Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certificate considered an asset

Knowledge of various payroll software/platforms, UKG an asset

Experience:

A minimum of years’ experience in Canadian Payroll is required

Skills:

Professional and positive personality

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

High attention to detail and organization

Strong sense of confidentiality and discretion

Adaptable, flexible, and able to function effectively autonomously as well as in a team environment

Ability to work well under pressure / fast-paced work environments

Wage based on experience and qualifications

Temporary employees are payrolled weekly via direct deposit.

This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
