Payroll and Benefits Coordinator in Devon

Join the Town of Devon as a Payroll and Benefits Coordinator, ensuring precise payroll management and effective employee benefits administration. This full-time role focuses on delivering exceptional support and maintaining compliance.

We are looking for an organized professional to manage payroll and benefits for approximately 170 employees. Responsibilities include processing bi-weekly payroll using Avanti, overseeing employee benefits programs, and ensuring adherence to legislative requirements. Your expertise in records management will also help secure our corporate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer bi-weekly payroll and ensure accuracy in deductions

• Handle employee benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations

• Reconcile benefit invoices and pension remittances regularly

• Manage corporate records and ensure legislative compliance

• Provide training on payroll and records management processes

Requirements:

• Minimum three years of payroll administration experience

• Knowledge of Avanti or similar payroll systems

• Familiarity with Alberta’s privacy legislation

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel for reporting

• Excellent organizational and communication skills
