Position: Intern, Crew Management Center (West)
Job Summary The Intern, Crew Management Center is responsiblefor collaborating with the Western Operations CMC, Information and Technology (I&T), Systems Analyst, and Senior Manager to improve the optimal performance of systems, reports, and information through the enhancement of training material, dashboards and testing of new applications. The role allows the selected individual to explore the many dimensions of the specialized systems, learn and apply different business analysis concepts, and use their computer skills to improve CN’s programs.
Major Responsibilities
Design Crew Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) dashboards in Power BICatalogue and refine the library of crew reportsCollaborate with the different program leads on the metrics for their programs and where the data is housedCollect the KPIs data for dashboarding and Power BIPrepare training material to support users in dashboard use and maintenanceParticipate in data collection, analysis, and interpretation to aid in project development, performance evaluation, and regulatory complianceContribute to the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal teams and clientsEngage in cross-functional teamwork, sharing insights, and proposing innovative solutions to address challengesAdhere to safety protocols, company policies, and industry standards throughout the internshipRequirements
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelLooks for opportunities for continuous improvement and takes initiativeStrong academic foundation with a genuine interest in sustainable solutions and supply chain managementProficiency in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to approach challenges creativelyAdaptability to a fast-paced environment and capacity to manage multiple tasks effectivelyInitiative and eagerness to learn from industry professionals and contribute to projectsExperience through internships or coursework related to the field*Knowledge of SharePoint, Power BI, Tableau*Knowledge of Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP)Education
Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Information and Technology Management, Business Technology Management, or Supply Chain Management* Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above would be considered as an asset
