Position: Senior Project Manager to support the planning and implementation of new cyber security initiatives for a crown
Our valued crown corporation client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the planning and implementation of new cyber security initiatives!
Initial 1.5+ year contract opportunity with strong possibility of extension in Ottawa, ON (% Remote). 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
Candidates with an Active Government of Canada Secret Clearance will be prioritized. The successful candidate must have resided in the country for the last 5+ years continuously to be eligible for clearance.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with various technical teams to deliver objectives and monitor, track, and report on status and metrics of each initiative, as well as coordination across Cyber and IT teams.Oversee project management aspects of the planning and implementation of initiatives under the Cyber Portfolio to meet business requirements in a secure mannerDevelop program/project plans, draft risk register and obtain required approvalsProduce other project management related deliverables as required by the project team (governance model, implementation plan, transition approach and plan, monthly updates, etc.)Ensure projects adopt an agile approach to workload management and scopeDevelop and maintain program/project status dashboardReport progress regularly to internal management and program sponsorsWork with the reporting manager, project managers and project controllers within the organization to identify resource requirementsWork with the project team to enable and support the initiative, including business analyst, change management, communications, etc.Collaborate with internal stakeholders and business partners to ensure understanding of client needs and support effective resolution of client inquiries and concernsCollaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and ensure they are met by new or enhanced cyber security operational processesFacilitate daily scrum meetings to provide guidance to the technical teams to identify and prioritize deliverablesProvide project management expertise for all project activities by working with stakeholders, project team members and groups across the Bank using proven project management best practices and methodologiesMust-Have
- Skills:
5+ years of experience in the field of cyber security3+ years of demonstrated experience as a project management specialist overseeing a project team for the definition and implementation of cyber security solutions in a complex environment2+ years of business analysis experience in IT projects (preferably cyber security projects)Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into application solutionsDemonstrated ability to write clear and concise documents for a technical audienceNice-to-Have
- Skills:
SCRUM Master CertificationPMP CertificationDemonstrated experience supporting cyber technology projects or Cloud projects (Microsoft Azure)Relevant cyber security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CCSP
