Job Description

The Role

We are seeking a proactive Technician Intern to join the Media Online team. You will be the "boots on the ground," ensuring that our sophisticated software and web builds transition perfectly from the development environment to the physical hardware. This role is ideal for a student who enjoys a mix of hardware assembly, network configuration, and software deployment.

What You’ll Do

• Hardware Setup:
  Assemble and configure digital signage media players, professional displays, and interactive touch-kiosks.
• Software & OS Installation:
  Perform clean installations of Windows OS and Linux environments; manage driver updates and OS hardening for security.
• Application Deployment:
  Install and initialize our proprietary Digital Signage Software and customized client applications.
• System Configuration:
  Fine-tune system settings, including display orientations, power management schemes, and remote management tools (e.g., Team Viewer or VNC).
• Network Configuration:
  Set up and troubleshoot LAN/Wi-Fi/4G configurations, including assigning Static IPs, configuring DNS, and ensuring firewall exceptions are in place for cloud connectivity.
• Testing & QA:
  Conduct stress tests on hardware/software bundles to ensure they can handle 24/7 commercial operation.

  Accompany our senior engineers on-site to assist with technical walkthroughs and final handovers to clients.

Who We’re Looking For

We invite students currently pursuing a Diploma in the following (or related) fields:

• Electrical & Electronic Engineering
• Network Systems & Security
• A hands-on "tinkerer" who enjoys troubleshooting hardware and OS settings.
• Familiarity with BIOS settings and disk partitioning/cloning tools.
• Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (DHCP, Static IPs, DNS).
• Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude.
