Position: Information Technology (IT) Service Manager
Position Summary
Reporting to a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the IT Services Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities and operations of all Information Technology services for Covenant Care and Covenant Living, including hardware, software, network infrastructure, telecommunications, cybersecurity, system administration, and end‑user support.

The position identifies, recommends, develops, implements, and supports cost‑effective and sustainable technology solutions that support organizational operations, service delivery, resident care, communication, and strategic priorities.

The IT Services Manager works collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external service providers to support the reliability, security, and ongoing optimization of organizational technology systems and services. The role also provides operational and strategic leadership for technology initiatives and supports organizational risk mitigation and business continuity efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Model the organization’s mission, vision, and values, consistently representing Covenant professionally and positively.

Collaborate effectively as a professional team player, supporting the achievement of Covenant’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

Provide leadership and coordination of IT services including infrastructure, systems administration, networks, cybersecurity, and support services.

Oversee implementation, maintenance, and optimization of servers, applications, devices, and telecommunications systems.

Support organization‑wide IT projects, upgrades, and system improvements.

Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training to staff.

Monitor system reliability, security, data integrity, and backup processes.

Manage IT equipment procurement, asset lifecycle, and vendor contracts.

Maintain relationships with external vendors and service providers.

Respond to and resolve complex or escalated IT issues.

Evaluate IT systems, services, and support models for effectiveness and sustainability.

Identify and recommend improvements, innovations, and technology solutions aligned with organizational goals.

Support development and monitoring of IT operating and capital budgets.

Coordinate technology projects, vendor deliverables, and service priorities.

Act as a liaison between IT, internal departments, and external partners.

Participate in committees, initiatives, and organizational planning.

Stay current on emerging technologies, cybersecurity risks, and industry trends.

Support development and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and security practices.

Participate in risk assessments, investigations, and operational reviews.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience:

3–5 years of progressive experience in IT services, infrastructure, or systems administration. Experience in healthcare or multi‑site environments is an asset. Leadership, project coordination, or vendor management experience is preferred.

Knowledge &

Skills:

Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity principles; experience with networks, cloud technologies, and enterprise systems; ability to manage multiple priorities and troubleshoot complex issues; strong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills; knowledge of IT procurement, budgeting, and lifecycle management; proficiency in Microsoft Office and enterprise applications.

Certifications / Requirements:
Valid Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation. Relevant IT certifications (networking, cloud, cybersecurity) are an asset.
