RBC Borealis has partnered with Mitacs to offer internships in a collaborative setting between our labs and a Canadian university. This program requires that both applicants and their academic advisors submit a proposal to Mitacs for peer review. As such, it is recommended that applicants initiate this process with RBC Borealis at least 6 months before the intended internship start date.
Qualifications- Ability to implement state-of-the-art machine learning techniques
- High motivation to solve challenging research problems
- Passion for data, algorithms, and statistics
- Previous publications at a top-tier AI conference
- Experience with writing modular, robust, scalable software in Python
- Familiarity with the Unix command line and bash scripting
- Proficiency with deep learning packages, such as Tensorflow, Keras, and Py Torch
- A deep understanding of machine learning algorithms and/or statistical modeling
- Pursuing a graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering or another mathematically related field (e.g., Physics, Math, Statistics, etc.)
