Position: Senior Business Analyst (10+ Years) to elicit requirements from internal stakeholders for the development of a data

Our Public Sector Client requires a Senior Business Analyst (10+ Years) to elicit requirements from internal stakeholders for the development of a data management framework and reporting solution.

Full Time, % Remote

Responsibilities:

Develop standardized enterprise business requirements framework to be utilized consistently across IT, business units, and onboarding regulatory programs.

Refine and model end to end business processes for registration and submission of regulatory data in the new application.

Lead collaboration between business stakeholders and IT to gather and prioritize requirements.

Lead engagement with IT to translate requirements into user stories and mock-ups while ensuring alignment with objectives

Develop and maintain a detailed backlog of user stories and establish their acceptance criteria.

Conduct reviews and refinement sessions with stakeholders to ensure requirements remain accurate and upto-date.

Provide guidance and support to other BAs involved in the project, ensuring consistency and alignment across all activities.

Work closely with the IT team to ensure that the user stories are well understood, documented, and implemented appropriately.

Document processes and guidelines related to requirements gathering, user story creation.

Work in Agile methodology with contribution towards spring planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement efforts.

Collaboration with Ul/UX designers to create mock-ups that meet user requirements.

Participate in scrum events, including daily standups, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.

Assist in User acceptance testing (UAT) to validate the implemented features and ensure they meet business requirements and user expectations.

Work on training material to support the work being done by IT.

Must Haves:

3+ years of Government Experience as a Business Analyst (including Federal, Provincial, and Crown Corporation)

An IIBA Certification, or a PMI/PBA Certification, or a Business Analysis Masters Certificate

Experience using Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN)

Agile /
Scrum Experience

Nice to Haves:

Knowledge of Data / Information Management best practices
