Step into vital support roles as a Data Center Technician in Rocky View, Canada. This on-site freelance position focuses on hardware management and structured cabling.
We are searching for an experienced Data Center Technician for contract work that provides essential support for mission-critical infrastructure. You will work with installations, server racking, and troubleshooting connectivity issues while coordinating with remote teams. Strong documentation skills are a must.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage hardware installations and decommissions
• Conduct structured cabling and patch panel work
• Rack, stack, and label servers accurately
• Troubleshoot any connectivity and hardware issues
• Document all work processes thoroughly
Requirements:
• 2+ years experience in data center or IT infrastructure
• Strong skills in cabling (both copper and fiber)
• Experience working with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro)
• Capable of lifting over 50 lbs
• Must have transportation for on-site work
