Join High Prairie School Division as a Cyber Security and Privacy Specialist. Protect personal data by implementing compliant security policies and frameworks in a dynamic team setting.

This role is vital in bridging the gap between technical security and legislative compliance. You will work alongside the Network Analyst and Privacy and Access Officer to build and enforce protective measures against data breaches. Your contributions will ensure HPSD's operations strictly adhere to Alberta’s privacy laws.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on maintaining security zones for data protection

• Ensure technical safeguards comply with provincial laws

• Analyze audit logs for potential security threats

• Conduct impact assessments for new systems

• Lead investigations following privacy incidents

Requirements:

• Understanding of ATIA and POPA preferred; willing to learn

• Expertise in cybersecurity systems like firewalls

• Experience in technical investigations and reporting

• Compliance with confidentiality standards
