Position: Cybersecurity Counsel at Waymo
Join Waymo as a Cybersecurity Counsel in a hybrid role, focusing on legal risk mitigation and cybersecurity compliance. Collaborate across teams to enhance incident response and supply chain security.

This role reports to a Managing Counsel and involves developing risk-based approaches to cybersecurity compliance. You will partner with Security, Engineering, and Product teams on vulnerability management and threat assessments. Your expertise will drive the evolution of cybersecurity frameworks as Waymo expands its autonomous vehicle operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop risk-based cybersecurity compliance strategies

• Collaborate on vulnerability management and threat analyses

• Lead cybersecurity incident response and reporting program

• Manage cybersecurity risks in the supplier ecosystem

• Support audits and regulatory inquiries in cybersecurity

Requirements:

• Law degree and 5+ years of cybersecurity legal experience

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Experience with compliance and incident response programs

• Knowledge of supply chain cybersecurity risk management

• Proficiency in navigating ambiguity and developing solutions
