In this role, you will be crucial to Instacart's Detection Engineering team, responsible for identifying and addressing threats across various log sources. Your expertise in cloud platforms, attacker techniques, and automated workflows will ensure high-quality security data. Collaborate closely with multiple teams to adapt to the evolving threat landscape and improve analyst efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detection logic across various log sources

• Assist in cyber forensic investigations with diverse telemetry

• Optimize log ingestion pipelines for actionable security data

• Design SOAR playbooks for enhanced triage and response

• Mentor fellow engineers in threat hunting and detection methodologies

Requirements:

• 2+ years in detection engineering or incident response

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms

• Deep understanding of attacker TTPs in zero trust environments

• Proficient in macOS internals and telemetry

• Experience with detection-as-code workflows
