In this role, you will design and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines on Google Cloud, processing extensive transit telemetry data. Your expertise will not only enhance data quality but also empower strategic decisions through insightful dashboards. This position supports nearly 2,000 transit operators, ensuring operational efficiency and improved transit experiences across Edmonton.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines on Google Cloud Platform
• Optimize cloud performance and cost with advanced SQL techniques
• Automate data validation frameworks to ensure data integrity
• Create enterprise-grade dashboards for data-informed decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on pipeline alignment
Requirements:
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
• Minimum 4 years in data engineering and cloud architecture
• Certified Google Cloud Data Engineer preferred
• Proficient in Python, SQL, and analytics tools
• Strong problem-solving skills for complex data challenges
