Hybrid Research Data Management Specialist

The University of Alberta seeks a Research Data Management Implementation Specialist for a two-year term. This position, reporting to the Director of Research Ethics and Integrity, requires substantial leadership to operationalize the RDM strategy. You will collaborate with various campus stakeholders to ensure alignment with institutional goals and evolving data management standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the execution of the Research Data Management strategy
• Collaborate with the Library and Information Services & Technology
• Identify RDM readiness gaps and develop frameworks
• Monitor compliance with Tri-Agency mandates and data standards
• Support responsible data stewardship and innovation across campus
Requirements:
• Extensive research management experience
• Strong knowledge of Tri-Agency mandates
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Background in data stewardship and privacy standards
• Familiarity with Indigenous Data Sovereignty principles
Contribute to the University of Alberta’s research excellence through effective data management practices and strategic leadership.
