Job Description & How to Apply Below

The Safety Codes Council is looking for a Microsoft 365 & Power Platform Specialist to help shape how our people work, collaborate, share information, automate processes, and deliver services.

This is a full-time, 12-month term opportunity providing leave coverage, with the possibility of extension based on organizational needs.

As part of our People & Technology team, you'll work at the intersection of technology, employee experience, service delivery, and business value. Partnering with teams across the organization, you'll help identify opportunities for improvement, solve meaningful business problems, and deliver practical solutions that make work easier, more connected, and more effective.

You'll help steward and evolve the Council's Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Teams, SharePoint Online, One Drive, Planner, Microsoft Lists, and Copilot for Microsoft 365. You'll also design, build, deploy, and support solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI, Copilot Studio, and AI Builder.

We're looking for someone who can balance technical expertise with practical problem-solving, translating business needs into secure, sustainable, and user-centred solutions that deliver real value.

You may be a great fit if you bring:
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform technologies
  • Experience designing and delivering digital solutions that improve how people work
  • Strong judgment related to governance, privacy, security, accessibility, and supportability
  • The ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • A collaborative mindset, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous improvement

At the Safety Codes Council, you'll find meaningful work in a collaborative, service-oriented environment that values curiosity, learning, and practical impact. This is an opportunity to influence the future of our digital workplace while helping the people behind Alberta's safety codes system work smarter, collaborate more effectively, and deliver better outcomes for those we serve.

If you're energized by solving real business problems, improving digital employee experiences, and helping people get more value from technology, we'd love to hear from you.
