Hybrid SOC Analyst

Position: Hybrid SOC Analyst at Northern Computer
Join Northern Computer in Edmonton as a Security Operations Center Analyst, embracing a hybrid work arrangement. This role involves monitoring, triaging alerts, and contributing to incident response for various clients.

Your experience as a SOC or NOC professional, especially with alert triage and incident management, will greatly impact our operations. By working collaboratively with other departments, your role will focus on improving security processes and reducing recurring issues through automation and proactive remediation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Triage security alerts and create documentation

• Monitor CVE vulnerabilities and assign tickets for action

• Respond to incidents and escalate when necessary

• Evaluate security tools and update baselines

• Collaborate on internal cybersecurity measures

Requirements:

• 3+ years in a related security operations role

• Understanding of EDR/AV and basic SIEM

• Proficient in creating clear ticket notes

• Preferred cybersecurity certification or academic background

• Experience with Microsoft 365 security features
