Personal Lines Underwriter

This position, reporting to the Personal Lines Underwriting Manager, focuses on evaluating quote requests, renewing policies, and interacting with brokers. Ideally suited for candidates with a minimum of five years’ experience in underwriting, this role encompasses risk assessment and strong communication skills for effective client interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and analyze quote requests for risk acceptability

• Review renewals, endorsements, and cancellations promptly

• Analyze broker production reports to support underwriting strategies

• Provide insightful underwriting advice to brokers

• Liaise with claims and accounting teams on mutual concerns

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of underwriting experience

• Strong knowledge of auto and property contracts

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proven organizational and time management abilities

• CIP/FCIP designation is an asset
