Underwriting Technical Consultant - Special Lines

This temporary full-time position spans 10 months and involves leading the underwriting team through your expertise. You will mentor a national team on risk assessment and coverage application while developing training materials. Key Responsibilities:

• Mentor and coach underwriters on technical skills

• Implement training for specific product portfolios

• Develop underwriting materials in collaboration with specialists

• Provide direction on complex underwriting issues

• Conduct audits and prepare reports for management

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of commercial underwriting experience

• CIP, FCIP, or CAIP designation is an asset

• Experience in mentoring and guidance roles

• Knowledge of specialty lines is valued

• Experience in oil and gas sector is a plus
