Job Description

Join our team as a Forklift Operator where you will be actively engaged in unloading trailers and managing warehouse operations. You will work primarily with a narrow aisle Stand-Up forklift, while also handling products manually. Approximately 60% of your day will involve hand-bombing products on or off pallets, and the remaining 40% will consist of using forklifts to store goods. You will also utilize an RF scanner for inventory management.

Products typically weigh between 10-20 lbs, with some items exceeding 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate narrow aisle Stand-Up forklifts to unload trailers and store products.
• Manually handle products on or off pallets, constituting about 60% of daily tasks.
• Utilize RF scanners for efficient inventory management.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Assist with picking, receiving, and putting away products in the warehouse.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 6 months experience operating Stand-Up reach forklifts with 3rd Party Certification.
• Experience in unloading trailers and using RF scanners.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate stand-up forklifts and reach lifts.
• Proficient in inventory management and put-away tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with skid steer or large yard forklifts.
• Customer service experience.
• Experience in industrial construction products.
• Possession of TDG and WHMIS certifications.

Work Environment

The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings, with forklifts equipped with cabs to protect against weather elements. The warehouse may be dusty at times, and the role is transit accessible. Work hours are flexible, starting between 7 am and 8:30 am, depending on business needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edmonton, AB.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
