Facilities Cleaner Supervisor – Columbia Icefield – Jasper, AB
Pursuit Collection invites you to join our team in Jasper, AB for a seasonal full‑time role as a Facilities Cleaner Supervisor. This remote, on‑site living position places you 100 km from Jasper, surrounded by glacier views and the world‑famous Glacier Adventure and Skywalk. You'll live on‑site, receiving accommodation and three hot meals per day.
Compensation: $21.50–$23.50 per hour. Housing and meals are a taxable benefit. An end‑of‑season retention bonus of up to $1.00 per hour is available.
Key Responsibilities- Support, train, coach and encourage the Facilities cleaning team.
- Act as the “on‑the‑floor” daily leader for the Facilities cleaning team.
- Focus on operational excellence, employee training, service standards and consistency.
- Perform established cleaning duties in all guest and team member areas.
- Keep emergency exits and hallways clear of debris.
- Maintain cleaning checklists, maintenance logs, and keep them up to date.
- Maintain garbage collection areas and facilitate an effective recycling program.
- Perform minor painting and plumbing duties.
- Coordinate daily and weekly employee schedules and breaks.
- Recognize business needs related to employee scheduling.
- Manage inventory and conduct stock‑take of equipment and supplies.
- Report equipment and supplies to the Maintenance Manager for re‑order.
- Provide administrative support to the Maintenance Manager, including supplies ordering and SOP development.
- Perform quality assurance checks and coach staff as required.
- Perform daily cleaning duties for the Icefield Centre, including public, office and washroom areas.
- Ensure all public areas remain clean and tidy to a professional standard.
- Maintain cleanliness of the Receiving and Supplies Room; card-board bailing and organization of building recycling.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Previous leadership experience or willingness to progress into a leadership position.
- Passion for coaching and developing employees.
- Excellent employee and public relations skills; friendly, cooperative nature.
- Strong team player with organization and communication skills.
- Ability to get excited about living and working in a remote yet social environment.
- Mature, energetic, dependable and self‑motivated.
- Can lift up to 50 pounds and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
- Internally motivated with consistently high energy.
- Initiative‑driven and able to follow through on tasks needing attention.
- Highly detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills and flexibility.
- Confidence in safely using common hand tools (hammers, drills, wrenches, screwdrivers).
- Experience in custodial or light maintenance role is an asset.
- Tourism or hospitality industry experience is an asset.
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods on‑site, in both indoor and outdoor environments, and all weather conditions (snow, rain, wind, hail).
