What You’ll Do

Perform general maintenance and repair work in residential units and common areas

Complete repairs related to plumbing, appliances, drywall, painting, lighting, and minor electrical components

Assist with minor carpentry work including cabinetry, doors, fixtures, and interior components

Conduct flooring repairs and replacements including laminate, tile, and vinyl where required

Support monitoring and maintenance of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical equipment

Conduct routine checks of boilers, furnaces, hot water tanks, and heating systems, escalating issues as needed

Manage and complete maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner

Communicate clearly with residents regarding maintenance issues and timelines

Prepare vacant units for new residents, including turnover maintenance and inspections

Perform preventative maintenance and assist with regular inspections of building systems and equipment

Coordinate with external contractors and support access to the property as required

Maintain maintenance logs, inspection records, and documentation

Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule and respond to emergency maintenance issues

Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and regulatory requirements

What You Bring

High school diploma or equivalent

Fourth or Fifth Class Power Engineering certificate required

Basic knowledge of plumbing, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and general maintenance

Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine appropriate solutions

Strong time management and organizational skills

Ability to work independently while collaborating with property teams

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to resident satisfaction

Attention to detail with a strong focus on safety and compliance

Requirements

Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation may be required

Basic hand tools required for the role

Ability to lift materials, climb ladders, and perform physical maintenance tasks
