The candidate will be expected to hire and train or arrange for the training of cleaning staff.

The candidate will be expected to supervise and coordinate the activities of employees.

The candidate will be expected to inspect sites or facilities for safety and cleanliness.

The candidate must recommend or coordinate additional maintenance services.

The candidate must accept payment for specialised cleaning jobs.

The candidate will be expected to assist cleaners with their duties.

The candidate will be required to assist in the cleanup of chemical, biological, and other toxic spills.

The candidate will be expected to keep a supply inventory.

The candidate will be expected to keep track of supplies, equipment, and uniforms.

The candidate must apply chemicals.

The candidate must be able to operate cleaning machines.

The candidate must clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.

The candidate will be expected to sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in English language.

The candidate must have a certificate of secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.

Training will be provided to the selected candidate.

The candidate will be expected to supervise 1 to 2 people, 3 to 4 people, and 5 to 10 people.

The candidate will be expected to supervise Janitors, caretakers, and building superintendents, as well as light duty cleaners and specialised cleaners.

The candidate must have a Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate as well as a valid driver’s licence.

The candidate should be client focused.

The candidate should be dependable.

The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.

The candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills.

The candidate must be flexible.

The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.

The candidate should have good judgemental skills.

The candidate should be reliable.

The candidate must be able to work in wet/damp and dusty conditions.

The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.

The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

The candidate will be required to work in an office building, a cleaning service company, and a commercial facility.

The candidate must be willing to relocate to the specified location.

Security and safety

The candidate should be subjected to a thorough criminal background check as well as a driver’s licence validity check.

The candidate must have an enhanced reliability security clearance.
