What you’ll do
- Perform maintenance and repairs related to buildings, grounds, and equipment (emergency lighting, window cleaning, seasonal sidewalk maintenance, site inspections, grounds‑keeping, pressure washing) at North Central Co‑op locations.
- Ensure buildings and equipment meet all safety, security, and fire regulations and policies.
- Establish, monitor, and carry out preventative maintenance procedures and schedules for buildings, equipment, and grounds.
- Conduct routine inspections of location premises and equipment.
- Conduct routine repair and preventative maintenance at all car wash locations.
- Under the guidance of the Facilities Manager, perform repairs such as light carpentry, changing light bulbs/ballasts, installing switches, interior/exterior painting, replacing sinks and toilets, applying finishing material such as linoleum, and completing compressor oil changes.
- Support other maintenance staff and departments by delivering and picking up BBQ trailer, skid steers, scissor lift, picking up parts and delivering them to site locations.
- Perform snow removal and landscaping duties.
- Partner with Health, Safety and Wellness Specialists and Asset Protection Specialist to ensure compliance with building safety codes, fire plans and other regulations.

- Post‑secondary education in a technical field or related training/experience will be considered.
- Facilities maintenance and grounds‑keeping experience.
- Skid steer training would be an asset.
- Technical ability to disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical components and reading technical manuals.
- Ability to make quick decisions and change priorities.
- Physically able to lift up to 50lbs and work on feet for long periods of time.
- Able to provide a current drivers abstract in good standing.
- Strong time management skills.
- Good problem solving and communication skills.
