About the role
Reporting to the Site Manager, the Janitor is responsible for helping maintain the cleanliness, safety, and general upkeep of our residential building. You are proactive and take pride in keeping the property clean, well maintained, and welcoming. You enjoy working hard, completing basic upkeep tasks, and building positive relationships with residents.

What you’ll be doing
Performing routine cleaning and sanitizing tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and floor care in common areas including lobbies, hallways, staircases, and elevators.
Ensuring common areas are clean, safe, and well maintained, including the lobby, gym, amenity rooms, and building entrances.
Collection and disposal of garbage from designated areas while following proper waste disposal procedures.
Cleaning and sanitizing common area restrooms including restocking paper products and hand soap as needed.
Completing regular building checks and reporting maintenance issues or required repairs in common areas to the Site Manager.
Provide friendly customer service to building residents.
Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and basic janitorial equipment.
Proactively identifying areas requiring cleaning, upkeep, or minor attention and taking appropriate action.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and residents.
Using the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary.
What we’re looking for
1 year of experience in a residential or commercial janitorial, building cleaning, or similar role.
Knowledge of janitorial cleaning techniques, equipment, products, and basic building upkeep.
Ability to lift heavy items up to 25 lbs.
Valid driver’s license.
Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Material Information Systems (WHMIS) is an asset.
