Support clean, sanitized resident spaces as a part time Housekeeping Aide at Extendicare using institutional cleaning techniques and floor care equipment.
The Housekeeping Aide cleans residents' apartments and common areas according to assigned schedules. The work includes sanitation, garbage transport, floor care, and documentation. You will follow safety practices, respect Resident Rights and Responsibilities, and support a residence serving vulnerable adults.
Key Responsibilities:- Clean apartments and common areas using assigned schedules
- Operate floor care machines and steam cleaning equipment
- Strip, scrub, spray, and buff floor surfaces
- Transport garbage to designated areas
- Attend training and staff meetings as required
- Good oral and written English communication skills
- Knowledge of standard institutional cleaning techniques
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to meet physical job requirements
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one
