Municipal Facility Maintenance Operator

Support safe municipal facility operations with Strathcona County through building systems knowledge, maintenance service, and tenant support across diverse sites.
As a Facility Maintenance Operator II, you will maintain community halls, County Hall, recreation facilities, and other municipal buildings. The position involves electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, building controls, finishes, and general facility services. You will also assist Facility Operator III and tradespeople with preventative maintenance and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate facility equipment, systems, finishes, and environments safely
Complete work orders, service requests, snow clearing, and site maintenance
Assist preventative maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration
Monitor and adjust building controls for comfortable operations
Support event setups, furniture repairs, and office moves
Requirements:
High School Diploma and three years’ related experience
General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
Ability to resolve mechanical problems efficiently
Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s licence and acceptable abstract
Ability to perform physical labour and work at heights
