Lead North American Accounts Payable operations at Stantec in Edmonton, using team leadership and process optimization to strengthen service delivery.
As Accounts Payable Manager, you will direct professionals supporting North American operations. The role oversees invoice processing, controls, performance metrics, stakeholder relationships, and operational improvement. You will partner with Finance, Procurement, Information Technology, and corporate functions to support compliant, efficient services.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead, coach, and manage Accounts Payable technicians and Team Leads
- Oversee invoices, expenses, payments, and vendor transactions
- Monitor performance indicators, workloads, trends, and risk indicators
- Maintain vendor governance and payment controls
- Serve as escalation point for complex payment matters
- Seven years of progressive Accounts Payable or Finance Operations experience
- Five years of people leadership experience
- Knowledge of controls, compliance, vendor governance, and fraud prevention
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, reporting tools, and data analysis
