Municipal Public Works Manager

Lead municipal operations in Drayton Valley as a hands-on Public Works Manager overseeing infrastructure, parks, and community services.
This manager guides the Public Works and Parks team while planning maintenance across roads, sidewalks, sewer, storm systems, parks, trails, rinks, and the cemetery. The position supports crews, manages resources, and coordinates with other departments to keep town services safe and well kept.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, coach, and schedule Public Works and Parks staff
Prioritize maintenance and projects across town infrastructure
Manage departmental budgets, fleet, and equipment
Oversee capital projects and contractors on site
Respond to residents and report to Council
Requirements:
Three or more years in municipal or public works operations
Three or more years supervising unionized staff
Related post-secondary education or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of heavy equipment, fleets, and small engines
Strong organization and a valid driver's licence
