Position Summary
Brock is accepting applications for a pool of Industrial Blasters and Painters for both shop-based and field-based positions
. Successful candidates may be assigned to our Nisku Paint and Blast Shop or deployed to various field projects as required. These roles involve preparing and applying industrial coatings in controlled shop settings and active field environments. Previous experience with abrasive blasting and industrial-grade coatings for steel and related substrates is required.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
:
Operate hand tools and abrasive blast equipment to prepare surfaces for coating, including scraping, sanding, and sand-blasting.

Ensure all work is completed according to contractor specifications, shop standards, and safety protocols.

Understanding of materials, tools, and processes involved in industrial surface prep and coatings.

Ability to assess work against safety and compliance standards.
:
Clear communication with supervisors and teammates (verbal, written, in-person, and via digital tools).

Capability to regularly inspect tools and equipment for defects or wear.

Awareness of coating and blasting processes to detect irregularities early.
:
Ability to analyze issues and find effective, safe solutions on the job.
:
Keen eye for detail and the ability to spot differences, flaws, or changes in job site or material conditions.
Shifts:
Positions available on day, evening, and night shifts.
Locations:
Work may be based at the Nisku Paint and Blast Shop or at field sites on various projects [travel to field locations may be required].
Environment:
Exposure to dust, coatings, noise, and vibration in both shop and field settings; all required PPE is provided.
Pre-access Drug & Alcohol testing is mandatory.
