Position: Scrap Auditor with AltaSteel Expertise
Alta Steel seeks a detail-oriented Scrap Auditor to maintain high-quality standards in steel scrap inspections. This hands-on role prioritizes accuracy and communication in a busy yard environment.

Reporting to the Yard & Scrap Inspection Supervisor, your role includes extensive inspections of incoming scrap steel to ensure compliance with pertinent specifications. You will build valuable relationships with drivers and peers while focusing on maintaining strict quality assurance practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections on delivered steel scrap

• Adhere to Alta Steel Scrap Steel Specifications

• Execute chemical analyses on scrap samples

• Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials

• Record inspection results and communicate issues clearly

Requirements:

• committed to safety and customer service principles

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Good attention to detail and judgment

• Ability to perform manual tasks and lift weights up to 50 lbs

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and site-specific software
