We ’ re looking for a Purchasing and Mill Stores Inventory Team Lead to join our High Prairie OSB Division, located in High Prairie, Alberta . Our mill has undergone an exciting major rebuild and modernization including the commissioning of a new continuous press which will make us the most modern mill in North America.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

• 3-5 years as a purchasing professional with leadership experience.
• Has obtained or is working towards their
  APICS, SCMP, CSCP, CPIM or equivalent designation.
• Proven experience
  maintaining inventory levels and operating supplies.
• Experience in a
  safety-sensitive, 24-hour manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and negotiation skills , combined with a
  can-do attitude.
• A good understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), preferably JD Edwards and Coupa is an asset.

In this role you will:

• Analyze costs,
  select suppliers, and negotiate contracts for the mill.
• Lead your team to make sure parts, materials and services are
  procured on time, at the right price, and with the right quality, and quantity.
• Oversee material and operating supplies
  inventory.
• Oversee inventory analysis ,
  plan and
  execute optimization plans.
• Support the team in finding creative solutions to meet business needs .
• Oversee the work order system enabling you to keep kitting turning over.
