In this role, you will play a crucial part in the fabrication and assembly of high-quality components and products, ensuring they meet precise specifications and standards. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in welding and mechanical assembly, along with a commitment to safety and efficiency. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assembly Technician/Welder to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities- Read and understand fabrication blueprints/drawings.
- Perform all mechanical assembly operations of sub-assemblies and package assembly, and set up functional tests, including in-process quality checks and tests.
- Fit metal components as per provided blueprints/drawings and specifications, ensuring all tolerances are met.
- Use processes such as GMAW (MIG) and FCAW.
- Operate welding equipment (manual or semi-automatic) and metal shaping machines.
- Ensure all tasks are performed in the allotted time and in accordance with health and safety regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Operate forklift, hand truck, and other material handling equipment to move material as required.
- Maintain welding equipment.
- Operate metal working equipment such as press brake, saws, etc., as required.
- Mask and paint parts as required.
- Technical trade school in welding/mechanics.
- Minimum 1-2 years of mechanical assembly and welding experience.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Experience and ability to read and understand fabrication prints.
- Manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination.
- Able to stand for extended periods of time and handle heavy loads (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions.
- Ability to operate forklift and cranes (training provided by company).
- Capable of adhering to safety standards and company policies.
