Pipe Mill Line Operator

Join DFI as a Pipe Mill Line Operator in Edmonton, AB. You'll play a crucial role in manufacturing structural steel pipe piles while ensuring safety and quality in a dynamic environment.

In this full-time role, you will operate the Electric Resistance Welded (ERW) pipe mill line, monitor production quality, and collaborate closely with the team. A background in heavy manufacturing or steel production is ideal, as you'll be responsible for running the line efficiently and safely. This position requires a genuine commitment to safety, as you'll be working with high-temperature equipment and overhead machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor the ERW pipe mill line from coil entry

• Perform quality checks on weld integrity and surface condition

• Operate overhead crane for safe material handling

• Set up and adjust mill tooling as required

• Document production data accurately and maintain cleanliness

Requirements:

• Class 5 driver’s license is mandatory

• Experience in steel manufacturing or pipe mills preferred

• Overhead crane certification is a strong asset

• Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot equipment

• Strong commitment to safety practices in a heavy industrial environment
