Become a Painter Prep Specialist at Silent-Aire Limited Partnership. In this role, you will expertly prepare surfaces for painting through sealing, sanding, and mask applications while maintaining high safety standards.
The position of Painter Prep Specialist is integral to the operations in the Paint Department, reporting to the Production Supervisor. Key tasks involve filing, mixing paint, and applying primers to ensure surfaces are ready for the final coat. Previous experience in autobody preparation will enhance your ability to thrive in this team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate sealing equipment for surface preparation
• Grind and sand repaired body surfaces accurately
• Mask areas effectively to ensure clean paint lines
• Mix and blend paint colors to match specifications
• Assist in material tracking and reporting
Requirements:
• Technical training in a related discipline preferred
• Experience with autobody prep and sheet metal
• Ability to carry up to 35 lbs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Color discrimination skills required
