Acuren's Materials Testing Laboratory is seeking a dedicated Apprentice Machinist. This role provides an opportunity to build foundational skills in machine operations, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance while working closely with qualified personnel. Your contributions will support vital testing procedures and ensure high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain cutting and grinding equipment
• Prepare test samples according to defined specifications
• Maintain equipment and document performance logs
• Provide suggestions for improving operational efficiency
• Coordinate shop supply orders and manage inventory
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent necessary
• Enrollment in a recognized machining apprenticeship program
• Basic understanding of manufacturing tools and practices
• Must be able to lift 25 kg safely
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
