Job Description
As a certified designated Journeyman Welder, the person in this position will be responsible for providing the welding capability and expertise for working on a rotational basis in both the Fabrication and Pump shop within PC Pump. Welders are also responsible for providing day‑to‑day support to other areas of the Business relating to welding repairs, equipment breakdowns and retrofits as required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities- All welding duties related to Weatherford PC pump production and fabrication activities
- Pump shop – welding stators, rotors, and pump accessories as directed by Lead Hand in Pump shop
- Miscellaneous day‑to‑day duties include plant repairs, breakdowns, and welding for related Business Units (GBU) as required
- Ability to work on specialty assignments
- Compliance with all Weatherford safety regulations, company policies and competency in the use of related equipment
- Support and follow continuous process and quality improvement initiatives and ensure quality workmanship
- Participate in required training programs and provide feedback on quality, safety, security, and environmental issues to management
- Certified Journeyman Welder with demonstrated competence with MIG welder process and MIG welds, SMAW welding process and SMAW welds
- Above‑average interpersonal skills, acting as a resource to all employees and able to work in a team environment
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with personnel in all sections within the facility
- Capability of working shift work/overtime as required and rotating through Pump and Fabrication shops
- Safety‑minded individual, willing and committed to receiving required and ongoing mandatory safety training as a condition of employment
- Attention to detail and ability to read blueprints and diagrams of components not yet built
